莊家與閒家的關係，主要以正、反或連、跳。當莊家與閒家連跳時可以看出一些軌跡與規律，然而在不憂的路中也能找出關閒的關係。
- 洞位變化:沒有兩個以上的洞位顯露出來。
- 拍位的變動：當莊家與閒家連結時，最多3拍。
- 幢的變動:在閒列中顯露出1個以上時，可容許與一個以上的莊連接。
莊家與閒家的關係會通過變動後排列，出現特殊情況時稱為傻路仔。
舉例:閒莊莊、莊莊閒閒閒閒…等。
大道則有好與壞兩種標準:
- 是內含有傻路仔或是長龍的牌型。
- 莊家與閒家的關係變動與數目變動是否有規律可以參考。
